Pull off the no mascara trend

It may be one of the go-to beauty products on the market but let's face it, mascara can be more trouble than it's worth sometimes. When it flakes, cakes your lashes together and is impossible to remove you may find yourself questioning why you bothered trying in the first place.

That's why we're all for the 'no mascara' trend; not only does it give your eyes some room to breathe but it's also extremely easy to pull off if you follow the right tips.

Make an eyelash curler your best friend for this bare look; curl every morning and keep it in your handbag to touch-up throughout the day.

Using serum on a regular basis to boost growth will help with this trend, whether it's The Body Shop Brow & Lash Gel or Gosh Eyelash Growth Serum, any will add length!

If you feel wary of your eyes looking too tired or small, add a spot of beige/nude eyeliner to the inside of your eye to widen things up; you'll be amazed at the difference it makes. Dusting a little nude/lighter eyeshadow to the inner corner of your eyelids will also help achieve this; just make sure you blend to give a natural finish rather than a block section of coverage.

Brave individuals will add proper colour to frame the eyes, though make sure it's one that complements your natural skin tone and doesn't make you look washed out or ill!

Alternatively, use dark eyeliner around the rim of each peeper to trick onlookers into thinking you have lusciously thick lashes, and pair with a nude lip. Smudge for a smoky-like finish rather than a harsh outlined eye.

Focusing on the lips is another way to balance out the lack of mascara and, by opting for a vivid shade lip colour, no one will be hung up on your bare lashes.

Or, if you really feel you can't go without anything to add length, go for a sneaky clear mascara that will give the illusion of wearing none at all; Great Lash Clear Mascara by Maybelline and Kiko Milano's Pro Gel Mascara are both great options. If you're looking to add a little extra fun to things, try out Kiko's Glitter Top Coat Mascara which will add some sparkle.Read more at:formal wear sydney
