The New Model Faces Ruling The Runways
Fashion month isn't just about the trends; it's also a chance to identify the next generation of supermodel. Obviously, the likes of Kendall, Gigi, Karlie and Jourdan are still owning the catwalk, but they're practically veterans these days (yes, we know. A supermodel veteran equates to a rather young age). Rising up the ranks is a new generation of girls all set for the big time; that is, if the past few weeks are anything to go by.
From New York right through to Paris, there tends to be a handful of girls each season who make their catwalk debut before going on to appear on just about every runway there is.
So, based on the AW16 shows, who's going to be the next Joan Smalls? Who can give Natasha Poly a run for her money? Meet the faces we predict will be the big stars of tomorrow...
Karly Loyce
She modelled for Celine in AW15 and walked for the likes of Chanel and McQueen in SS16 so she's not exactly new to the fashion game, but it's AW16 that has truly been Karly's breakout season. We've seen her on pretty much every runway including- deep breath- Marc Jacobs, Burberry, Pucci, Moschino, Dolce & Gabbana, H&M Studio, Elie Saab and Stella McCartney, and that's not even all of them.

Karly grew up on the French-speaking Caribbean island of Martinique, where she was scouted one day in the street. She studies biology at university, and is keen to reiterate the need for diversity in model casting. She told Allure magazine: "It's very important to see black girls and all types of people in fashion. Fashion should look like a mirror of society. It's interesting to see other types of models because we're all different."
Sorry Karlie, you've got competition. With a 'y'.
Dilone
It's always a good start when you only need one name. And that's exactly how it's panned out for 21-year old Dilone, who made her mark in Bottega Veneta's AW16 menswear show, and has now turned her attentions to the women's shows. Her curly crop has seen her snapped up for Mary Katrantzou, Marc Jacobs, Fendi, Hermes and Burberry. Oh, and did we mention she's now part of the Balmain army, too?

Aside from her hair, we're also obsessed with Dilone's extra-curricular talents; she was tasked with writing and peforming a rap for Love magazine by Katie Grand, which she pulled off effortlessly. On a more serious note, she has been vocal about her support for Kesha on social media, posting pictures criticising Sony. We're not ashamed to tell you that we're already a bit obsessed. Dilone is the cool kid we all want to be our BFF.
Katie Moore
We love a model makeover, and they don't come much better than this. It's true that a dramatic 'do can maketh the model, and this is certainly what's happened for Katherine- or Katie- Moore. Opening the Alexander Wang show, she was part of one of the most talked-about model squads of the season (so far) thanks to the anarchic, punk aesthetic that Wang gave his girls.

Previously the proud owner of long, blonde locks, Katie was put in the hands of legendary hair stylist Guido Palau, who transformed her with a super-short, copper-orange, blunt bob. As is usually the way with a Palau 'do, Katie has since been one of the most talked-about models of the shows, walking for Mulberry, Max Mara, Moschino, Dries van Noten, Givenchy and Balenciaga.
Never underestimate the power of the hair.
Yasmin Wijnaldum
Ok, we have to confess: Yasmin is hardly a new face. She has already enjoyed an insane amount of success walking in couture shows for Valentino and Atelier Versace and is a Prada poster girl, too, but since appearing in Alexander Wang's new girl gang, we're in no doubt that she's set for 'It' girl status any day now.
Hailing from the Netherlands, Yasmin was signed to Elite Amsterdam before she'd even left school thanks to her unique look. She's Dutch and Surinamese, and is pretty much an all-round mega babe. For AW16, we've clocked her on catwalks such as J.W. Anderson, McQueen, Versace, Prada, Michael Kor and Givenchy, which is one pretty impressive CV already.
Elizabeth Moore
One of Alessandro Michele's Gucci girls, AW16 has proved to be a bit of a success story for wide-eyed redhead Elizabeth. From Dolce to Dior, she's had a stellar season and will no doubt be a fixture on the runway for seasons to come. Watch this space.See more at:formal dresses perth
